10/1/2012parentWe have had children at Central now for over 8 years and have nothing but praise. The teachers are very communicative and encourage higher level thinking from all of their students. We have always felt that every teacher we have had over the years, genuinely cares about our kids. Central is different because they don't have "average" kids. They have many different students from many different backgrounds. It's easy to teach kids that all come from the same place, but Central goes above and beyond to not only celebrate the different cultures represented in their school, but to see that EVERY child succeeds. Central is a school that celebrates diversity, teaches acceptance, and has built a genuine community of caring not matched by any other school in the district. Keep us the great work!
2/23/2007parentThis is my son's second year in the Fairfield School District. I also was hesistant to stay with Central, but have found it to be a wonderful school. The children are truly the focus here! Family events are frequent and the teachers are wonderful. They are very safe conscious. The principal could use a lesson in friendliness, but otherwise a great school!
8/22/2006parentWe've been very pleased with the education our son (now a 3rd grader) has received. He's had great teachers (King and Riggs)! At first, we were concerned that Central might not be the best elementary compared to North or East, but it is the teachers who really make Central a great place. While our son does fine academically, the teachers have continued to push him to further his learning. The building is aging, but the education is great!
2/22/2006parentFairfield is a very traditional school which seems to reach the average child. It prides itself on teaching the basics so if you are looking for more for your child, it may not be the place for you.
2/21/2004parentCentral is ok. I don't believe all the teachers push the students to be the best they can be. I have the feeling that if your child is doing well enough than thats fine. I would like to see the kids do the very best they can.
8/26/2003parentCentral is a wonderful school full of history. The teachers and faculty have a great love for teaching and the children. My son recieved a quality education from all his teachers. They pushed him to expand his knowledge and coached him when he needed extra help. The building is very old but many promising futures have been inspired from behind those walls.
