| 1/5/2011 | parent | We moved to FM from NJ earlier this year (August/2010). We were fooled with ratings on this site and few other ones. What a disappointment! I have two kids; the older one entered the 8th grade GT program and the other in the regular class. So far the older one has been learning materials she already took during regular 6th grade (Not GT) when she was in NJ. The GT program is basically a sham. The GT system allows them to enter but never monitors their progress to remove the underachievers. So, you end with many unqualified GT students hampering the progress of the deserving students. There are some OK instructors, but the English teachers are so poor they should not be teaching in any system. for those of you thinking about moving to Fort Mill...think 10000 times...my comments are truly honest and based on my kids direct reflection and feedback from what they have experienced. We have no other motivation what-so-ever except the wellbeing of our children s education. I did not cover all issues encountered, but these are only the main points I can go on and on We will finish our school year and will be moving out as soon as our lease expires. Very disappointed Parent |
| 9/17/2009 | parent | This school has the best teachers in the world, who really do a great job at pulling the best out of each student and helping them determine where their strengths lie. |
| 6/30/2007 | student | It is the best school ever. It's clean. It has good teachers, students and everything. I love it! And im glad i go to it! And I can't wait for school next year. |
| 10/17/2006 | parent | When my 12 year old grandson came to live with me I was worried because he was behind in academics. The teachers & staff have all strived to get him in his 'right' classes. They are absolutely wonderful & I cannot praise this school enough for their positive involvement to turn his school experience into a positive one...Thank you all so very much and this is not the last you will hear from us parents (and grandparents) J. | 8/17/2005 | parent | We moved from Charlotte just so our 6th grader would be able to attend middle school in Fort Mill. We just could not believe that she has a Information Technology class and studying Robotics in 6th grade. She looks forward to going to school and before it was a struggle for her to even like school. She is an honor roll student and now she is loving our move to Fort Mill. Her teachers are awesome i mean awesome. They are soo enthusiastic about what they are teaching. There is even a teacher there to help out minority children just so they won't get behind(AWESOME). I am so excited about her first year and i thank God we chose to move. And the school lunches are much more nutritious. |
