I am a volunteer at the school and enjoy helping the children as well as the teachers. There is so much love for our school throughout the community and Fork Shoals School is now home of the State of South Carolina Teacher of the Year. We take much pride in our school, teachers, staff and most of all our children. I wouldn't want my grand daughter to attend any other school. |

I am a single mom and they help with getting each child the same even if the parent can not pay for trips or something they find a way to get the kids sponsored so they don't miss out. They also make sure the kids are experiencing the different cultures that some schools don't get to do. My oldest child is in high school and my youngest is in third grade and it won't matter if I move I will find a way to make sure that my child finishes elementry school at fork shoals. |

Respect for each other is emphasized, as well as positive reinforcement on a school-wide level. Volunteers are an integral part of the school, and parents are encouraged to participate as much as possible. |
| 5/31/2006 | parent | Fork Shoals is a wonderful school. It was originally founded in 1877. The school has a very nurturing environment and my son truly enjoys going to school there. My son had been in first grade in Nicholasville, Kentucky. I had never been personally exposed to a school which seemed more like a confinement area than an educational environment. We were so happy when we moved to Simpsonville, SC and our son began attending Fork Shoals. One never realizes how much difference caring teachers can make until having to go to a school that is lousy. |

They really made it easier to send my child to kindergarden.My sons teacher keeps me informed on how my child is doing at all times and seems very concerned about his wellbeing. |

Fork Shoals has done more for him in the last 6 weeks than all his other years combined. I am so grateful my son has had the opportunity to attend this incredible school. The principal is an incredible person who obviously has a true love for children and truly wants each of them to have the best education possible. |

They encourage the children to learn, explore and to question everything. The principal & teachers create such a strong bond between the home & school life that children feel how important their education is, and give them a love for learning. I am very excited to see what the next year brings, and see how implementing the IB program will enhance an already world class education environment. |
