| 3/27/2012 | parent | Disappointed. I had a child graduate with honors from this school, yet am still highly disappointed. They love the kids that do well and will perform on the tests. If you have a child with special education needs, run the other way. Please explore any other available alternatives. Even though my children who have gone there didn't really get into trouble, their rules are archaic. They do have a few good teachers and sports teams. My children will not be attending this school next year. We are moving to a better school district. |
| 12/30/2009 | parent | This is not the best school as it may have been portrayed to be. The discipline of the students have declined dramatically. The school has slightly improved on its racism but that's about it. Woodruff High School is not a great school to send your child for an education. |
| 11/7/2008 | parent | Great School with great educators. |
| 8/9/2008 | student | Woodruff is all right. A lot better than most other schools, although all the rules and regulations can be kind of harsh sometimes. The assemblies are also very boring. But if you want a school with a wholesome environment and (mostly) friendly teachers and staff, this is definitely the place to be. I personally don't care much for the pizza though. |
| 7/29/2008 | parent | WHS is a wonderful school with caring and concerned teachers and staff. It has a great art department and a wonderful marching band program. |
| 12/2/2006 | parent | If you are looking for a school with challenging academics, strong moral guidance, attention to discipline and a winning sports tradition then this is the high school you need to send your children to. The entire staff up to the district superintendent level are approachable and interested in what the parents have to say. Although the school enjoys a rich sports tradition with 10 state championships, the emphasis is definitely on academics. Our oldest child attended private schools up through midway of his Junior year. His last year and half of school were by far the best experience of his life and ours. We never realized that we could better than we had been paying for for free at Woodruff High School. The entire school district is top notch. I would not put my children anywhere else if someone paid me to. |
