11/1/2012parentWe are new to the area and we were very afraid of our son not liking the new school he would be attending. He adapted very quickly thanks to the wonderful teacher he has! She has been wonderful to him and we think the world of her! I have seen her in the classroom while teaching and she is absolutely the best!!! The new principal is awesome!!! You can definitely tell she loves her job and loves each and every one of those kids! All the staff and the ladies in the office are really sweet and attentative when you enter the office!!! We never thought we would find a school that was even comparable to my son's first school, but we have. We are truly enjoying JAE!!!!! Thank you to everyone that makes JAE the school that it is!!!!
10/10/2012parentMy son is attending JAE and starting on his third year. Our first year at JAE was horrible. The teacher was not very good, but impatient, condescending, and had my son hating school. The principal was worse. She never smiled or seemed approachable and was rude. The next year was better. We had a great teacher who was looking out for my sons interest, the principal was still the same scowling, unapproachable, and hateful person she was during our first year. We are now in our third year and a new principal...what a change! She is friendly, outgoing, and truly seems to care about the children. She is out front every morning waving and welcoming the students...what a difference! The whole morale of the school has seemed to change. Our teacher this year is outstanding! My sons writing has improved so much I thought he had the wrong paper!
7/13/2012parentWe pulled our kids from a private school 2 yrs ago & we have not looked back. We love the enviornment & all the teacher. They have a before & after school program that is wonderful for working parents.
1/11/2012parentMy son went to JAE and had an overall good experience. I too feel As if the principle stays hidden away and isn't as active Or involved in the day to day as some parents want to see. My sons teacher was strict but very caring and approchable. The only other slightly negative thing I have to say is, my sons particular class had very little parent involvement. The room mom had to struggle and nearly do everything herself with only a few moms helping. Loved the teacher but a little more involvement would have been nice.
10/21/2011otherI was very disappointed in JAE when our child attended. I had high expectations, based on parent feedback. The principle stayed hidden away. Not approachable at all. Did not respond on issues - passed off. Friends that had children in other school would talk about events, schools initiating fundraisers. Nada at JAE. Minimal work = minimal results. Not impressed. Bad use of website - nothing updated, not good contact info. Teacher was nice, but normal. We miss the teacher, not the school nor principle.
6/2/2010parentMy children have attended grades 1-3 and K-1 at Jack Anderson Elementary. The staff is very involved with making sure each child is successful. We had to do an IEP for one of my children this year and they came up with a great game plan to make her educational experience more successful. Unfortunately, we are moving again but I sure wish I could pack up the school and take it with me.
7/6/2008parentWe spent the last half of the school year at JAE and love it! The parents are so involved and the education is top notch. Like a private school without the tuition!!
5/31/2007parentWe are new to Tennessee and couldn't have been more fortunate to have Jack Anderson be the school we were zoned for. My 2 kids attended this year and it was great. The teachers were fantastic and the school in general was awesome. We've moved and are sad to no longer be zoned for Jack Anderson!
1/11/2007parentOur son has been attending Jack Anderson for 2 years. He loves the school and the teachers. As parents, we have really appreciated the care all of the teachers provide and the sincerity to really help children be their best.
6/18/2006parentJack Anderson is even better than a private school! We were in a private school for 3 years and my son needed help focusing his concentration and abilities and the teachers and staff at Jack Anderson were very accomodating. The principal (Mrs. Lassiter) is professional and strict, but very caring...a great combination. It's all the things you don't usually hear about public schools!
6/14/2006parentJAE is wonderful! We recently moved here from out of state and after many trips to different schools and talking to other parents we enrolled our child at JAE and have been very pleased! The teachers, principal, office staff, etc. are very friendly and helpful. My child has special needs and has had the best services that we could ask for. The parental involvement is second to none! This is a wonderful school and I would reccomend it to anyone.
