| 12/9/2008 | student | I am currently a student here at Butternut and I think it is great and I love it here because everyone knows each other and we almost had to close but Besse the lumber company donated 10 million dollars to keep it open. I am so glad I will be able to graduate here. I wouldn't graduate anywhere else. |
| 2/1/2008 | parent | Butternut school , in my experience, is the best school district that I have had the privilege to be a part of. As a student of multiple schools Butternut was by far my favorite. And as a parent of a child who went to Butternut and now goes elsewhere it is still our first choice. It is definately a community and a force of great friendship. Everyone works together and even the children bond together rather than clique or segregrate. This school builds such pride in their students and the community and it will be a shame if it ever has to face closing. The community has been very fortunate thus far and I believe if there was more economic stimulus in the area Butternut would certainly thrive and more people would consider staying. |
| 7/10/2005 | student | This is an excellent school to be in. We have only about 180 students K-12, so this means that there is a lot of 1 on 1 attention from teachers to students. This also means that everyone knows one another and feels comfortable around each other. We have a outstanding music program as well as many sports (basketball, baseball, softball, cross country, golf, volleyball, etc.) There are also many extracirricular activities that students can participate in after school. We also have a afterschool program where students can go for extra help. This school also lets parents be involved with there childs education. |
| 5/19/2004 | former student | I used to go to Butternut School. I moved last September to florida. I miss Butternut. I learned alot there. I wish i could go back. Everyone is so nice, and everyone knows eachother. It's a small school but it's still nice they have great sports, and nice teachers. They have pep band , and Reg. Band. |
