The community is very welcoming and there are plenty of events and festivals to attend throughout the year." Similarly, Emily B. shares, "Decatur is a great place to raise a family. The schools are top-notch and there are plenty of family-friendly activities. The cost of living is also reasonable compared to other cities." On the other hand, not all reviewers have had a positive experience living in Decatur. As Karen L. states, "Decatur has its good and bad areas.
