City Review - 3/7/2008
I moved here over 6 years ago and now run the one of the few local real estate companies, President of the Chamber of Commerce and am a member of the Planning Commission.
This is a beautiful old historical community located centrally between Montgomery & Eufaula Alabama (East - West) and Troy & Auburn/Opelika Alabama (North - South). We are approx. 35 minutes from Montgomery and 45 minutes to other locations listed. Our downtown is on the National Historic Register and we have over 100 old Victorian Period homes. Although we are one of the poorest communities in the state we are "rich" in culture and historic structures. We are also fortunate to be currently surrounded by growth being halfway between the new Hyundia & KIA plants.
We have nothing but growth in our future.
We have two great web sites giving you a look into our local assets. The chamber site is usacoc.com and the tourism site is unionspringsalabama.com.
