Remote paradise - 3/24/2018
Edna Bay is a wonderful little town on a perfect bay at the edge of the Alaskan wilderness. The residents are warm and welcoming. The problems of the world seem to be a million miles away from here as you pick berries while watching bald eagles soar overhead. Amazing beauty is everywhere in this unspoiled place. The Richters have some very nice cabins for rent, and there are still many excellent properties still available on and near the bay. Fishing, hunting, hiking, bird watching, boating, picking wild berries and mushrooms, petroglyph viewing, and world class cave exploring are just some of the recreation activities available here. There is a great little general store & post office here, a church, a school, a marina, a fuel depot, building contractors, and several saw mills. Broadband internet and telephone service is available.
Life here is different than in most of the USA, old fashioned values and patriotism are still the norm here, people are friendly and care
