Canyon Breeze Elementary - 5/23/2010
My children have attended Canyon Breeze for the last couple of years. In that time a new principal has taken over. Bullying, swearing, and children running around seems to be the norm at this school. My children are in classes where the teachers struggle every day to try and teach. The students are so misbehaved that it is difficult for my children to learn. I have approached the teacher about the behavior problems, and she said that whenever a student is sent to the office, nothing is done about it. The teacher is the one who is asked about what strategies were used to solve the problem first. She stated it is easier to just try and deal with it, because there is little to no support. I am a young married woman with a family. I love Avondale for so many reasons. There is everything I need nearby and I rarely have to venture out of my area. Shopping, food, recreation are all close by, not to mention it is constantly growing and has tons of growth in nearby cities. They are buiding a new mall a few miles down the road, and we are also close to two major freeways, and the Football stadium/Hockey Arena/Westgate. Not to mention the schools are good (rating wise).
