My husband and I spent 5 fantastic years in Pine, Arizona. These were the happiest years of our lives. Pine, and neighboring Strawberry, AZ, have breathtaking views, abundant wildlife, rich history and amazing people. These 2 quaint small historical villages in the mountains beneath the Arizona Rim are a step back in history to a simpler time. There are pioneer homes, antique shops, festivals, an annual mountain bike race that brings cyclists from throughout the world, horse ranches, and a nearby goat and llama farm that bring overwhelming charm to this mountain paradise. There is an old time fiddler's jam, storytelling events, and numerous artisans and crafters of the highest quality who call Pine, Arizona home. Pine is a perfect weekend or vacation getaway - 5/3/2012
Pine is situated very close to Phoenix and just south of Sedona, making it an accessible location. It's really a second home or vacation community. Pine has a lot going for it- amazing scenery and trails for hiking, biking and four wheeling. The air is amazingly clean compared to Phoenix and it smells just like pine! The area really has a lot of potential, especiall if some new shops move in to give it more of a European feel.  Read More
