Unestimated Population - 4/28/2010
I believe your review of the Tuba City Community is wrong. I am originally from there and just for updated feedback. Education: the Public schools are funded through state, students are required to buy their own school supplies because a school board member embazzled the school funds. The Boarding School also have to buy their own school supplies because their are only funded for the amount of students attending from the year before. Each classroom at every school holds about 20-27 students. My daughters class holds 24 students. The population is more than 9,000. If three headstarts hold 30 students each, the primary holds 12 classrooms with 22 in it, the elementary has 20 classrooms with 20-25 students, and the high schools hold 2,800 students. You were probably only counting the student population. All I can is come to Tuba City and get a role call from the Western Agency Tribal Census Office and you'll see how Many Navajo's live in Tuba City alone. Read More
