A good place to live. - 12/9/2013
We moved here from San Diego, CA. There was massive culture shock, that took more than a year to overcome. The weather runs to extremes, with sub-zero winter temperatures and several 100+ degree days in the summer. Winds can be fearsome and the sand-storms shut down I-40 at least once a year.

Having said all that, the crime rate is very low. There is graffiti and there are drunks, but violent crimes are quite rare. Horrible!! - 11/16/2012
We had to move here for my husbands job ( In Joseph City) and it is the worst place I've ever been to. The crime is ridiculous. There are a bunch of drunks and druggies here. It is not safe for children. There is absolutely nothing to do. No movies, no bowling alley, barely any shopping or restaurants. You will be lucky to find a decent job. It is a dying town and very ugly. Like anywhere in Northern Arizona, it is expensive for anything dealing with vehicles. Don't be shocked if your registration on an 07' is over $200. Winslow is a huge speed trap. A ticket for one mile over the speed limit (which they will give you, is Read More

Cost of living is high - 11/16/2012
There are two grocery stores so not much selection for pricing. Registration for your vehicle is astronomical! Don't get me started on tickets. This town is one giant speed trap and if you get caught going one mile over the speed limit, it's $220.00.That's not even the worse of it. You will never find a good enough job to get a nice house. The houses are way Read More
