Carson lacks in most important aspects for a good - 5/13/2013
I've lived in Carson all my life and the only thing special here is the weather. Summers are great, as it is in the 70s for most of the time. However, this is a lower-middle class suburb. The city lacks in education for the most part, many homes are run down, and many of the city sidewalks have weeds growing all over the place. Our current mayor is making an effort in developing the city center and there are a few new structures. But overall, Carson is a really bad place with VERY high crime. Carson is a middle-middle class, industrial city between Long Beach and the South Bay. In the 80s & 90s it was one of the most evenly diverse cities in the country. There was nearly a quarter split of Asians, blacks, Latins and whites and a good sprinkling of Samoans and others. As with much of the US, it's become increasingly Mexican.
