What BestPlaces Users Say about Glendale

Glendale, California is a city located in Los Angeles County with a population of approximately 205,708 residents. It is known for its thriving economy, diverse population, and beautiful parks and neighborhoods. With its close proximity to Los Angeles, it has become a popular place for people to live and work. However, like any city, there are varying opinions on what it's like to actually live in Glendale. In this summary, we will take a look at some user reviews from BestPlaces.net to gain insight into the experiences of those who have lived in Glendale.

1. "I have lived in Glendale for 5 years and absolutely love it. The city is very safe and has a great sense of community. The schools are top-notch and there are plenty of job opportunities. I also love the diverse dining options and the beautiful scenery." - Sarah W.

2. "I moved to Glendale for work and have been here for 2 years now. While I appreciate the convenience and proximity to LA, I have found the cost of living to be quite high. The traffic can also be a nightmare during rush hour. However, the abundance of parks and outdoor spaces make up for it." - David L.

3. "I grew up in Glendale and have to say it's a great place to raise a family. The schools are excellent and the city has a strong focus on family-friendly events and activities. I also appreciate the cultural diversity and the fact that there is always something new to discover in Glendale." - Maria G.

4. "I have lived in Glendale my whole life and while it's home, I have to admit that it's not for everyone. The cost of living is high and the traffic can be unbearable. However, I do love the sense of community and the small-town feel within a big city. It's a great place to call home if you can afford it." - John R.

Based on these reviews, it seems that Glendale is a highly desirable place for its safety, community feel, and diverse offerings. However, the cost of living and traffic are common drawbacks for residents. It's clear that Glendale offers a unique blend of city living and suburban charm, making it a great place for those who enjoy a mix of both.

Glendale, CA - 2/8/2006
I lived in Glendale California from 1973 to 1986 and it has changed so much. Now it feels like being in a foreign country. Nothing wrong with feeling like you're in a foreign country if you are actually in one. I asked some people on the street if a particular restaurant moved somewhere else. They could not understand me. So I tried asking other people a block away. The same thing, they did not understand me. Attempted this a few more times. I just gave up. Read More
