I grew up in Mill Valley. I went to Park Elementary School and Tamalpias High School. I have wonderful memories of Mill Valley and Marin. The mountains, fresh air, slow pace, safe (well back in the 60s it was)San Francisco right over the bridge, Sausalito etc.. It Used to Be Paradise - 11/17/2006
I was raised in Mill Valley and lived there or nearby for 30+ years. I always thought it was paradise until it got too expensive. Former celebrities, former dot-com gazillionaires and yuppies ruined it. It doesn't seem fair but it seems more middle-class, native Californians like me have to live elsewhere to survive. Mill Valley is beautiful. The two problems with it are: Too expensive for the average citizen to live, and a bit snooty.
