No better place to raise kids or just enjoy nature - 8/21/2021
I lived in Pine Valley for 19 years and absolutely LOVED it!! To be in a small mountain town at nearly 4000 ft elevation with fewer than 2000 people yet be 45 minutes from the San Diego beaches is extraordinary!! The library and the post office are the town social hubs. Pine Valley is too small for home mail delivery, so we often run into neighbors and have a chat at the post office. Pine Valley Community Church is a welcoming place and holds sports camps for kids in the summer and a gorgeous candlelight Christmas Eve service. There are about two meager snowfalls of about 2 inches on average, just enough to enjoy before it melts. It's a cozy, homey, wonderful place to live, and I miss it very much. Read More
