Childhood Home - 9/14/2013
Of all the homes or places of where I lived throughout my lifetime, I especially remember Rancho Cucamunga, CA. But this city's name when I was there was Alta Loma, and Cucamunga was the next city over. I have lived in this city when I was about 5 yrs. old until I was 11. I guess 1967-1973. I lived at 8650 18th St.

Don't remember area code. I went to kindergarten at Arroyo Elementary with all deaf kids. Then I went to Sacred Heart School for grades 1-3. I remember all my teachers names. I remember watching on a TV in school when the first man landed on the moon. Of course I remember the kind of hearing aid I had. Then I went to Carnelian Elementary for 4th and 5th grade. Then while I was in 4th gr. it was discovered that I was deaf in both ears and that is when I started wearing 2 over Read More

A great place to live - 4/26/2011
We have moved here three years ago from Memphis, TN and we love it. It is a beautiful place to live and raise a family. Low crime rate, housing is a bit costly but not so much compared to the rest of Cali. There are so many city activities and public parks and events at reasonable prices. The entire family can stay active all year long. Not to mention that you are less than 1 hr to the beach or the mountains during winter, and about 3.5 hrs to Vegas. We thought it was pretty expensive, but we did move from the south. There are many different cultures here, which we love. So if you are racist, please stay away, we like it the way it is, with all the mixtures of different people. The only thing we miss is the southern hospitality, but we get so many more things in Read More
