Moderation is always good - 7/27/2012
San Rafael is only 30 minutes from downtown San Francisco, but the weather is completely different. It's sunny most of the year, including in the summer when the city is blanketed in cold fog. Our night-time lows are similar, mid-50s. The city doesn't move much off that in a typical July/August day, unless they're lucky & the fog lifts. Here in San Rafael, it clears before our day starts, & we're bathed in sunshine that drives our temps to from mid-70s to mid-80s most days. Winter is cooler, but still sunny enough to sit on the deck during the day. I'm able to grow citrus in my garden, and our farmer's market is full of fresh fruits & vegetables Read More
