If you can help it, don't move here - 9/6/2007
I'm only in Stockton to go to school for two years, and now that I'm over halfway through, I can't wait to get out of this place. People are rude, can't drive, don't know what a STOP sign is, etc, etc, etc. There is graffiti everywhere, and once someone comes by to paint over it, it takes less that three days before it's tagged again! With all the crime and gang activity here, I can't understand why anyone would choose to make a permanent home here. I don't feel safe in my own backyard at night. Nine months to go!!! AAAGGGHHH!!! I can't

Nothing here is worth the cost - 8/29/2007
You have expensive houses that aren't even worth the cost. Everything here closes early and for a reason. THere's too many roberies here. Our cars have been broken into at least once..in front of our own houses...and we have 4 cars...2 of our cars have been stolen but later found... Education here is horrible... there are three school districts in Stockton and all of them are just as bad...Stockton is the worst place to have such a university like University of the Pacific. The only places open late are 2 cafe's and a houka cafe...hope this is

Bring a gun ......... - 8/6/2007
I owned a great business in Stockton as well as a home ....... robberies at BOTH (within the same week) are telling my family and I to move out of state.
There is a problem with homeless people , crime , drugs , and general cleanliness of this "great" city. The water is terrible to drink , and the cost of living is too high . If you would like to live in a "safe" area , you can expect to pay upwards of $650,000 for your home. Otherwise be prepared for the worst. I am joining the ranks of many friends and moving to Washington or

If You Like Low Cost Housing with a Price to Pay o - 12/30/2005
Let me tell you about Stockton. The little ticky tacky look alike homes located near the section 8 homes all look desireable but don't be fooled we get hit with crime too. Yes, there are Million Dollar homes in Stockton but it is all located behind fenced in gated areas. Life by the Delta has it's advantages but boy watch out for the disadvantages such as in the heat of the night raw sewage smell fills the air. If you stop at the gas stations you might approached by a homeless person begging for change or a dollar. I really look forward to moving out of California. I am California born and raised but California has nothing to offer me it gives me asma and keeps my head aching. I am looking for a place where the water is drinkable the air is good to breath I am close to retirement and I am ready. Yes, we are close to Sacramento and easy excess to San Francisco. If you are looking to start somewheres and your funds are low I guess you can put up with anything for a certain
