Housing downward trend - 5/31/2008
Housing after a booming market has taken a steep decline in the last year. Homes have on the average decreased in value 25% or more. Even so the cost of housing is still overpriced. The abundance of sunshine and great weather makes this trend much more bearable Read More

Temecula feels like home! - 12/3/2007
My husband and I moved up here in early 2004 with our then 1 and 3 year-old children. We came to Temecula to find more affordable living than what was available in North San Diego County. Temecula has a very residential feel in the residential areas, and a very commercial feel in the commercial areas.
Most but not all of Temecula has a "shiny-new" feel to it. For the most part the oldest homes and office buildings are maybe 20 years old and they are few and far between. Most of Temecula is residential housing, but there are lots of ranches, estates and wide open spaces. Temecula is a beautiful valley with clean air and panoramic mountian views.
The school district is the best in Riverside County. There are parks, golf courses or ponds on practically every corner. There is a family-oriented event in Temecula or Murrieta at least once a month. The 30+ wineries and Pechanga Casino are great for entertaining out of town guests or going on a date. The beach, the Read More

Do not move here - 5/31/2007
Temecula is a horrible town heres why. Go to the mall on the weekends and you will see a gothic punk rock crowd with all ages. The mall sucks by the way. If you love motorcycles and tight black jeans on men with a mowhawk than this is the town for you. The women here all have pitiful oversized boobjobs ,bleach blond hair and leather skin. Most people here have a bad I'm going to kick your ass attitude. If you dont mind the meth heads and drunk drivers go to the casinos. The traffic is a disaster its worse than LA. or sandiego. I have 2 kids and have nothing but complaints about the school teachers. The kindergarden teacher was taken out of her class because she was high on drugs and the kids asked why is your nose bleeding? We have one to many bad furniture stores in this town and too many wana be orange county chopper dudes. Its hot as hades here in the summer like 110 for 2 months straight. Riverside county is very corrupt, its just an all around horrible town, I cant wait to Read More

Temecula - 1/1/2007
We moved here couple years ago because we heard it's a wonderful "family town". Well, it's overpriced, ugly, and not so family orientated. Tons of gambling (casinos) and drinking (vineries), valley girls with no brains but with expensive cars and immodest clothes. Unbearable summers and nothing to do if you are an outdoor type. Schools going after scores and making kids miserable, bad teachers, bad traffic. Sorry this is a bad review; we are out of here this year and would not come back here if you pay Read More

Relocating - 11/10/2006
We recently relocated from Michigan to Modesto, California. My husband, who works for Ford Motor Company, will be taking an early retirement. Myself, I was a elementary school secretary for 12 years. Modesto is a very nice town, but I haven't had any luck finding a good paying job. Now, my husban and I are looking to move closer to San Diego where the job growth is greater. We still have 3 daughters who are in their early years of college, and would like to find a safe town for them to commute to a nearby community college and university. Any suggestions? I like the sound of Temecula, Murrieta, San Jacinto, and Carlsbad. But mostly concerned about the type of employment that is available for long term employment. My husband is only 50 years old. He's too young to retire! He is suggesting Arizona, Read More

The weather can not be beat!!!!! - 10/1/2006
Coming from Dallas where you need AC 3 mths/24 hrs a day every year; the weather here is unbeatable! It gets warm during the day in the summer (we used the AC for about 3 wks, at night, this summer) but it usually cools down at night. This is the why the # of wineries keep expanding, the grapes love hot days and cool nights; so do we!!! We have lived in several places but we will def. retire here. It's worth every last dime of the cost of living because quality of life is priceless! My son can play golf every day, atleast 360 days a year! Some life Read More

So Cal Costs - 8/4/2006
Temecula is a great little city. Smallish but is booming. The last 5 years have seen tremendous growth in housing and school. The San Diego and LA areas are driving the real estate costs it seems. Most peopel that live here commute. Wonderful area, mild climate for the most part. I tgets a bit hot during the Summer, but about 9 months of the year it is wonderful. Lots of scenery and wine Read More

Excellent place for your family - 6/26/2006
Other than the Inland Empire's dry heat/hot summers, the evenings are perfect
and Temecula is a fantastic place to raise a family. Culturally diverse, centrally located to SD, LA, Orange Cty, Temecula is within 1.5 hours of
anything. Snow, beach, desert, mountains and 2 major airports. Located in
the middle of beautiful wine country (w/of course a ton of amazing wineries)you have a great mall, Casino (Pehchanga w/shows, boxing, restaurants, concerts), lakes, parks, etc. Basically everything w/relatively no crime
and 100's of reasons for relatives to Read More
