We love it in Vista (San Diego) but might have to - 6/22/2006
My husband and I have always dreamed of living in CA. When we came out here over 5 years ago to visit relatives in La Jolla we fell in love with San Diego and vowed to move out here once we got married. Well, we did it (our family thought we were crazy)but we were so excited because both of us grew up in MN and did not care and were risk takers. Well, we did not have jobs and it took us much longer than expected to find work and now that we found it we both dislike our jobs and are amazed at how little the pay is compared to the cost of living and how few jobs there are. We are still renting a 1 bedroom apartment (paying $1, 030 and it is not that nice) after being here almost 4 years and no hope of buying a house anytime soon. We love it here but cannot afford to keep living like this. We want to start a family and cannot do that here, not too mention you would have to do private school here as the public seems questionable. People are o.k. but self centered mostly.
