Buena Vista is the place to be if your into the great outdoors. Hiking, biking, fishing, whitewater rafting, winter sports snow shoeing, back country skiing also close to major ski areas without the major prices.

The river park is often overlooked by travelers since it's off the highway at the east end of the towns historic Main St. It has ball fields, soccer fields, picnic areas and of course a tremendous water park for the kayakers.

What you won't find is chain stores and malls. Just the highest concentration of 14,000 ft peaks begging for a summit.

Buena Vista also has all the qualities of a small mountain town; with no shortage of friendly people.
