What BestPlaces Users Say about Campo

The town of Campo, located in Colorado, has a small population of just over 100 people. It is known for its peaceful, rural setting and scenic views of the surrounding mountains. Many people are drawn to this area for its tranquility and slower pace of life. However, there are some factors to consider before deciding to live in Campo, such as the limited job opportunities and distance from larger cities. On the other hand, user "WorkingMomma" expresses frustration with the limited job opportunities in Campo and the long commute to nearby cities for work. Overall, it seems that living in Campo has its pros and cons. Campo, A wonderful place to raise a family - 10/22/2009
I was raised in the little town of Campo.CO and now I do the DayCare program in our local school. Campo has been a wonderful place to raise our three daughters and now our grandchildren. We have 0 crime rate. Our children have the freedom to walk or ride their bikes to play with their friends without fear of danger. Our school has installed a new playground that is open to the public for our children to enjoy year round. Our school is very small so the students receive almost one on one with their teacher. Our graduation rate is 100%. Our senior class goes on a wonderful trip after graduation to a place they choose. Sometimes it is a cruise or a trip to Hawaii paid for by their fund raising efforts during their four years of high school. We have three churches who combine for a midweek prayer service. Campo is located 9 miles from OK and 20 miles from KS. Ten miles west is the beautiful canyon area that is rich in ancient history. We can not think of a better place to live. Read More
