Cimarron Hills, CO is a beautiful and quaint town located in El Paso County. It has been known as a great place to live for its peaceful environment, excellent schools, and close proximity to many outdoor activities. The town offers plenty of things to do for residents and visitors alike. There are numerous parks, trails, and recreational areas all throughout the town that offer sightseeing, hiking, fishing, camping and more. For those looking for some excitement, there are also popular golf courses to enjoy. Shopping enthusiasts will love the stores available throughout the town as well.
The reviews of Cimarron Hills have been overwhelmingly positive. Many people have praised the small-town community atmosphere in the area while also noting that it’s close enough to larger cities like Colorado Springs that you can enjoy urban amenities without having to travel too far away from home. Residents tend to be very friendly and welcoming here and they take great pride in their neighborhood lifestyle. The cost of living can be slightly higher than other towns but it’s worth it for those who want quality housing and top-notch services in a safe environment. El Paso County's next ghetto - 9/15/2007
Contrary to popular belief, Cimarron Hills is NOT part of the city of Colorado Springs. It is an unincorporated enclave that receives no city services. There are maybe 4 or 5 patrol cars from the El Paso County Sheriff's Department that service the entire area, and the only time one sees any law enforcement action in this area is if one is caught speeding on Constitution Avenue. Forget about calling law enforcement if you have a break-in or are harassed by a psychotic neighbor. And perhaps the worst thing about this enclave that is not part of the city is its water company, the Cherokee Metropolitan District. Unlike Colorado Springs's city owned water utility, Cherokee is not beholden to its customers. It recently lost half its water resources due to a court ruling.
