Frisco-Dillon is COLD/Doggy Place - 6/9/2019
I've lived in the Frisco-Dillon area for almost a year. It's a great area obviously for skiing, hiking, and biking. The scenery is gorgeous, the Summers mild, but the Winters can be pretty cold. That all said, you should know that many of the people here are not all that friendly, and many are barely polite. Great hiking, skiing, and biking - 10/5/2009
Frisco is the town we decided to buy a home when we did a tour of the US west in 1985. We lived there full time from 1989 to 1992 and had to move for personal reasons. Frisco is located at the heart of Summit county. it is short distance to the ski areas of Keystone, Breckenridge and Copper Mountain. It has a nordic center that is rated one of the best in the county. Safeway and Walmart provide necessary shopping. there are hiking trails in town--Mt. Royal is one of the steepest in the county. North 10 mile is an easy romp with connection to the Gore range. Meadow creek provides access to Lily pad lake with an easy hike or to Eccles pass a more difficult hike. We did return in 2007 and bought a home there. We think it is one of the best places to live. There is a fee summit stage bus system that will take you anywhere in the county. Dillon Lake provides boating or kayak opportunity. there are so many events on the week ends, it is hard to choose. The cost of living is misleading. We Read More
