The yuppies are taking over! - 5/21/2008
I am a Littleton Native and to be honest, I am ready to leave! Yuppies everywhere who act like they own the world. Everything in revenue generating! Your dog is "registered" - ticket. Your dog (although heeling by my side) not on leash in an open-empty field - ticket. Not wearing a seatbelt? - ticket. 5 miles over the speed limit? - ticket. I keep waiting for them to wipe my ass too! Everytime I turn around they are trying to MICROMANAGE my life! I am ready to leave this "great" area for somewhere slower Read More

Terrible place to live - 3/29/2008
The only good comments you will here about Denver or Colorado will come from narrow minded natives. In my opinion, this place should not be called colorful Colorado, it should be called boring, and colorless Colorado. There are not any lakes, or water recreation, unless you call ponds like Chatfield a lake. Any activity you might want to do in the mountains will be regulated be the tax happy government, or the over priced, and overcrowded ski resorts. You may enjoy Colorado if you like paying $1,000.00 for vehicle tags every year, and getting crappy roads in return. And just as the gentleman from Clovis mentioned the people here have zero personality. And if you are a hardcore liberal, or dope smoker, you will love the PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF BOULDER. I could keep going on, and on, but I'm sure everyone gets the point.I have given several points on why this is not a very good place to live. Now can anyone give any other reasons other than skiing, hiking, or riding your bikes on the Read More

I'm Movin' Out - 2/28/2008
Littleton used to be a nice place to live. I've lived here since 1992 and I've seen a total turn around in terms speed traps and over all police presence in the last two years. Many people have suddenly become horrible drivers. This is nothing new I'm sure, with many communities in need of revenue. But it seams to me that Littleton PD has taken it to a level that I can't tell you that last time I didn't see at least two of their famous SUV vehilcles hunting down trafic violators. Speed traps are numerous and vigorous.
Don't get me wrong. Traffic offenders should get citations. But philosophically, how far do the police have to go to maintain acceptable levels of traffic incidents? Each and every violator of a four way stop?
I gotta tell you, I drive in this city with fear. Is that how good citizens should feel? A cop on every corner? I dont't call them Police Officers anymore. I call them "Revenue Generating Units".
I coached a youth baseball team a few Read More

re: mar 17 posting- snobs and nazi cops - 3/29/2007
Chris, you must have gotten confused with Phoenix. People here constantly run red lights, tailgate, run 15 over the limit on local streets just to name a few. We have to have photo radar on our local freeways and they still do 115 mph flipping off the camera, no wonder we're called the "dumbest state in the nation". Our experience with Littleton was quite the opposite, open - minded people, no problems with anybody on the local streets or freeways--they actually let you merge without speeding up to cut you off. Re; "nazi cops", if you're doing nothing wrong and are legal with plates and registration ect --then what are you worried about? At least their doing their job unlike Phoenix. I say "thank you" to the Littleton PD for keeping those off the road who don't belong. Perhaps the only "asshole" was >youyouRead More

Littleton is full of snobs and nazi cops. - 3/17/2007
Just like the rest of Denver, Littleton is full of snobs. No hello, or people holding doors. People need driving lessons. Constant accidents! A lot of wierdos running around in Littleton. West Littleton is newer and decent, but way to expensive. East Littleton, incl. Olde Town and the Broadway is full of immigrants and low life trash. The cops are a bunch of Nazi's. Bottom line. I've never encountered so many assholes and hicks in one place. What an overrated town. Home of the Columbine massacre. As stuck up and ignorant as these idiots are, no wonder those kids went on a rampage at the high school. But then again, its a suburb of Denver, what do you Read More

WAINDERFUL! - 6/20/2006
All we can say, after living in the mid-west in various states (Il, IN, Oh, WI, KY), this is the most beautiful by far. The weather is awesome, the people are very friendly, the sun shines almost everyday! There are endless outdoor activities. The housing costs are steep and water short but other than than Read More

Beautiful Colorado - 5/13/2006
Colorado is Beautiful. The mountains are majestic. Camping is great, but chilly. Colorado's dry climate is nice, except not enough moisture. Humidity is low, the drawback, everything is dry. In summer we have been on water restrictions, which is a drag, but the summers a still nice as far as tempature. Littleton is a nice burb. However we are like one big city. Of all areas, we like south the best. I have heard way north is nice too...don't know. Lots of camping is available, but summer is short so take advantage of it. Lately winters have been mild, which is nice, however that leads to problems with no water in summer. What I LOVE about Colorado is the Dark blue sky and sunny days. I like the low humidity, but wish there was a better balance, with some rain, so we could have more water. The cold is never as cold as it looks because its dry. Love the skiing in the winter, but lots of traffic to and from, so day trips are becoming harder. Traffic is a problem on I70 Read More
