Silverthorne is a small town located in the mountains of Colorado, known for its scenic beauty and recreational opportunities. User Reviews:
1. From Sarah R. on BestPlaces.net: "I've been living in Silverthorne for three years now and I absolutely love it. The mountain views are breathtaking and there's always something to do, whether it's skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer. The only downside is that housing can be expensive, but the quality of life here is worth it."
2. From John W. on BestPlaces.net: "I moved to Silverthorne for the skiing, but I ended up falling in love with the community. People here are so friendly and welcoming, and there's a strong sense of community involvement. Plus, the schools are top-notch for families with children."
3. From Emily K. on BestPlaces.net: "I've lived in Silverthorne my whole life and while it's a beautiful place, there's not much to do for young adults. The job market is mostly focused on tourism and hospitality, which can be seasonal and unstable. But if you love the outdoors and don't mind the slower pace of life, it's a great place to live."
4. From Michael B. on BestPlaces.net: "I moved to Silverthorne for the outdoor activities and I couldn't be happier. The location is perfect for skiing, hiking, and fishing, and the town has a great selection of restaurants and shops. However, the cost of living is definitely higher compared to other places in Colorado."

We go sledding with our kids, and they are learning to ski at a young age. This January has been long, as we've had many cloudy, cold days, too cold to enjoy the outdoors, but in general there are many sunny, gorgeous days here.
