Bridgeport,CT is not a city to consider moving to - 1/25/2007
I am a native of Bridgeport, CT-born & raised, recently located to Seymour, CT.
Bridgeport,CT has a high crime rate, it's very costly to live there, and has an awful education system. Seymour has almost a non-existent crime rate, and is slightly cheaper with an excellent school system, but let's face it:Connecticut is an expensive state to reside in.
My family and I are seriously considering moving down to Georgia-not only because it'll be cheaper and the homes are so cheap down there it's almost unheard of, but also because I'm so sick & tired of New England Winters.
There are more cold days here than there are warm. But over all, Georgia is a beautiful state that would be more affordable for my family than Connecticut.Read More

worst city - 7/10/2006
Bridgeport is one of the most crime infested cities, to top it off The whole freakin state is krupt, Bridgeport is one of the cheaper places to live in Fairfield County but still costs around 1 million for a house. Crime,Crime,Crime it is very unsafe to live with children here, schools are horrible and their is alot of viloent gangs here. This is one of the highest places for teenaged gangs in the nation! One of my close friends car was stollen within 5 minutes when he went in to get groceries. Bridgeport is a very rundown depressing city and falling into a detriot like atmosphere, yes its becoming much like detroit. The Weather here sucks! Its always humid winters bring slushy snow springs are overcast and rainy summers are hott and humid. If you have any idea of moving here please consider this message heavily. For Families I suggest living in Monore, or Trumbull they are a little less expensive and have some charm, but its fading away to kruption, If you could i would move anywhere Read More

Fairfield, CT - 6/19/2006
Fairfield CT and Fairfield County in CT is an extremely expensive place to live. That is why we are looking to relocate for our retirement. We would like nothing more than to become "snowbirds" but that is just not possible with the average price of a house in Fairfield being about $450K. It's a beautiful big city with a small town atmosphere and we would have loved to ahve stayed here forever, but we cannot afford Read More
