I have lived in CT my whole life and I can't wait to get out of here. If you have yourself established, then this is great place to live. If you're a young person looking to start a life, good luck. You're better off packing up and moving elsewhere. Everything here is taxed to the hilt and its very high. And high paying jobs are relatively scarce because the job growth in CT really isn't that great. Most of the young people are leaving CT with good reason. Fairfield, CT - 6/28/2009
We moved up from the South. Even though we have met a handful of nice people, we find the majority are terribly rude and uptight. We feel if you weren't "born and raised" here, then you just aren't worth anybody's time in getting to know and building a friendship. The drivers are crazy. They speed and pass in NO PASS zones. The cost of living up here is insane. Property taxes have gone up each year we have lived here. Utilities have gone up as well. The Deer, don't even get my started on those animals.
