What BestPlaces Users Say about Madison Center

Madison Center, Connecticut is a small town located in New Haven County. It boasts a population of just over 2,000 people and is known for its charming downtown area, beautiful beaches, and top-rated schools. But what is it like to actually live in Madison Center? To answer that question, we looked at various user reviews on BestPlaces.net to get a diverse and accurate perspective. Overall, many users rave about the town's sense of community, safety, and natural beauty, while also mentioning some potential downsides like high cost of living and limited nightlife options.

1) Review by John: "I've lived in Madison Center for over 20 years and can't imagine living anywhere else. The community here is so welcoming and friendly, it truly feels like a small town. The beaches are stunning and there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy. My only complaint would be the high cost of living, but I think it's worth it to live in such a beautiful and safe town."

2) Review by Sarah: "I moved to Madison Center two years ago and have loved every minute of it. The schools are top-notch and my kids have made great friends in the neighborhood. The only downside is that there isn't much of a nightlife scene, but that's okay with me as a parent. Overall, I highly recommend this town to families."

3) Review by Mark: "I've lived in Madison Center my entire life and I've seen it change dramatically. It used to be a quiet, small town but now it's becoming more developed and crowded. While I miss the old days, I still love this town for its charm and natural beauty. It's a great place to raise a family, but I do wish there were more job opportunities here."

4) Review by Emily: "I recently moved to Madison Center for a job and I have to say, I'm not a huge fan. It's a beautiful town, no doubt, but there's not much to do here and the cost of living is ridiculously high. I also feel like there's a lack of diversity and culture here. I probably won't stay for too long, but I can see why some people would love it here."

On the Long Island shoreline with your choice of beaches. Heavily wooded residential community.
A charming downtown with an art movie theater, the well known R.J. Julias book store, and wide streets providing angular parking. Home prices are high but property taxes are reasonable. A state park named Hammonasset offers a boardwalk, a nature center, bird watching, rocky shoals as well as long stretches of sandy beach. Madison is only a short ride to New Haven and Yale University together with Yale Rep theater and Long Wharf theater depending on whether you opt for experimental or traditional dramatic experiences.
