Oxford, CT is known for its rural charm and community spirit. It is a beautiful town, nestled in the rolling hills of Connecticut. Residents enjoy the small-town atmosphere that they have grown to love. Visitors come to Oxford to explore its many attractions including historic homes, scenic parks, award-winning restaurants and unique shops. There are also plenty of activities for locals and tourists alike such as fishing, kayaking, hiking trails and the nearby Lake Zoar beach. Many people come back year after year to take in all that Oxford has to offer.

Read the overview and disagree - 3/29/2015
The overview of Oxford seems odd to me as it lists, as part of the cons, areas of urban decay. Not sure how, where or what they were looking at. Oxford was once a farming community which is about as rural as anyplace in the state. Unless you look at the two store fronts for rent, the community fared better than most areas losing very little relative property value during the ongoing housing crash and has managed to retain it's rural appeal.
