Climate - 8/25/2012
From May 1 to November 1 expect hot, humid days, frequently with rainfall in the afternoon for at least 15 minutes. The rest of the year it is beautiful: warm but not too humid and little rain. Maybe it's just me... - 7/22/2007
But I CAN'T STAND living in Casselberry, Florida! I live with my dad, my stepmom, and my stepbrother in the smallest house we've ever lived in before in a questionable neighborhood (I'm from Johnson County, an affluent suburb of Kansas City-zip code 66215 if you will), and this house costs wayyy more than any house we've ever had before! Seminole Community College is a JOKE; half the time my classes meet, my teachers push back quizzes/assignments. I went to Johnson County Community College when I lived in Kansas, which was ranked the 6th best community college in the nation, so I guess my expectations are rather high. My boyfriend and I cannot forsee moving out on our own in Orlando, as rent has skyrocketed down here and the cost of living is absolutely outrageous. Oh and food tastes WAYY better up north, and I miss living in a SOPHISTICATED city (sorry, if I hear Treal's song Read More

Quiet and Safe Middle Income Area - 3/17/2007
I read a negative comment about Casselberry and wanted to share my contrary opinion on the area. I have lived in Casselberry for 9 years and have lived in the Orlando area for over 25 years. Casselberry has been a safe and quiet place for my family. It offers easy access to major highways in the area and is also convenient to shopping and office parks. I know that there are a couple of apartment complexes in Casselberry that are ratty and unsafe, however, anyone who knows anything about Orlando knows that this type of situation exists in virtually every city in the area. Even prestigious Winter Park has pocket areas that are dangerous. Overall, the combination of affordable housing, convenient location, and low crime have proven to me that I made a good choice when I chose to buy a home in Read More
