What BestPlaces Users Say about Doral

Doral, Florida is a city known for its diverse population and strong economy, located in the Miami-Dade County. With its proximity to beaches and thriving businesses, Doral has become a popular place to live for many individuals and families. However, like any other city, it has its own unique pros and cons. To gain a better understanding of what it's like to live in Doral, let's take a look at some user reviews from Best Places, a popular website for community feedback and ratings.

According to John G., who has lived in Doral for over 10 years, the city offers a great quality of life with plenty of amenities. He says, "I love living in Doral. The weather is amazing and there are always plenty of things to do. The schools are also top-notch, making it a great place to raise a family."

In contrast, Michelle C. has a different perspective. She says, "I've been living in Doral for a few years now and it has its ups and downs. The traffic can get pretty hectic and the cost of living is high. However, the diverse culture and great food options make up for it."

Another resident, Emily R., praises the strong sense of community in Doral. She mentions, "I've lived in different cities in Florida, but Doral stands out because of its welcoming community. There are always events happening that bring people together, and it's easy to make friends here."

However, not everyone has positive things to say about Doral. As per Thomas M., the high cost of living and lack of affordable housing can make it challenging for some to live in the city. He states, "Doral is a great place to live if you have a good paying job. But for those struggling to make ends meet, the cost of living can be a burden. Housing prices are through the roof and it's tough to find affordable options."

In conclusion, Doral, Florida has its own unique set of advantages and disadvantages. The city offers a great quality of life with plenty of amenities, a strong sense of community, and a diverse culture. However, the high cost of living and traffic can be a downside for some. Ultimately, it's important to consider these factors and personal preferences when deciding whether or not Doral is the right place to live.

HARRASMENT CITY - 1/27/2010
If you are looking to do business in DORAL, FL- TURN AROUND. I have seen the city inspectors, planners, and police harrass businesses and the public like no one else. I have many customers in the city of Doral. Not one has mentioned one positive thing with working with this town. Everyday, there is someone knocking at your door fineing, harrasing and making their lives misserable. The police are horrible. Instead of providing safety to the public, you have the gestapo working to ensure they ticket as many people as possible. I do not mean for speeding or careless driving, but for parking with a tire in the grass or your manuvering to avoid an accident. Do not drive here. Construction - you will pay dearly to pass the many seal of approvals for all the clowns working for the city government. Work with Miami, Coral Gables, or even up in Ft. Lauderdale, but keep away from Read More

It is a great place to live if you like being close to it all and do not mind heavy traffic at certain times of the day... Lots of Warehouse and Office parks... Nice residential areas but not all are gated, onl ethe ones that were developed and built before the City of Doral was founded, after that all communities cannot be gated. HIgh Priced real Read More

This is a suburbial city of the Miami-Dade MSA. Streets are clean and well planned. Most of the neighborhoods are closed-gate communities with the houses nested among golf courses. Dwellings are about an equal percentage of single family homes, townhouses and condos. The highest rated public school in Dade county (an A for more than five years now) belongs to this city. Crime is low. I would say that overall it is a wonderful place to raise a family and quite centric between the Fort Lauderdale MSA and the Miami-Dade MSA. On the downside, house prices are expensive, I would say that a 'sweet spot' home, as described in your book, is running for about $450,000 to Read More

Not worth the effort - 5/7/2006
Doral became a city in 2003. It is west of MIA airport. It is a bad mish-mash of industrial/commercial parks mixed in with residential neighborhoods. There was no city planning. The cost of housing is prohibitive. The climate is tropical. The population is mostly Latin. The language most often spoken is Read More
