Great City to own a Business! - 1/1/2015
Opened a small tourism business here 17 years ago!
It has grown every year to a multi-layered business we never imagined
We are Still open and thriving and will be celebrating 20 years in 2017!
I was able to buy my own home and can enjoy it without having to worry about many things I hear from homeowners in other cities
You can actually grow a business without the foolishness one hears about in other cities.
If you are looking to own your own business, this city has a local government that defines "Civil Servant". I have never heard a "No" unless it was "No to that approach but lets see what we can Do"
As for the comment of Red Light on Krome; well Red Light areas are found in every city; my question would be, what were you doing to find it here?

Bad Place - 11/9/2014
What a pit. I live in Port St. Lucie and came to Florida City for a temporary job this fall. The place has a red-light camera set up at Krome and Palm Drive that the city uses to rob people. When making a right turn on red it’s not good enough to stop past the stop line (to see the intersection clearly) before the turn, but you must stop AT the line or get a $158 VIOLATION ticket. It’s extortion as revenue enhancement in the guise of public safety!
City extortion, dirty roads and lots, panhandlers everywhere, a pit. When the sun goes down the bums and panhandlers approach you at the stop lights and in shopping center parking lots. If I never go back to this dump it’ll be too soon.
