Palm Coast Florida - 8/25/2006
Palm coast has grown too quickly. The county Flagler is the fastest growing in the country. Schools are crowded. Infastructure not keeping up with
population explosion. No retail to speak of, retail and construction jobs only.

When Palm coast is built out in 5 years, the construction jobs will be gone.
Water is very expensive here. Palm coast is prone to fires if it gets very dry. Taxes are only low if you stay in the house you bought years ago, in our case 1999. This is due to the reassessments. Lower class of people locating

Palm Coast good for some, not for others.... - 7/30/2006
After reading the reviews of my city, I thought I'd chime in. Palm Coast USED to be a nice, quiet place. As someone else mentioned, it is much bigger than bestplaces states. We have had (and are having) a huge influx of people, mostly from the North East or from overseas. There are too many people and not enough to facilities to support them. The schools are overcrowded, WalMart is a nightmare, traffic, etc. There is no job market at ALL. You cannot get in to see a Dr. or dentist without a month to three month wait! It is NOT a family oriented place. For example, I live in a 300k home and hear BASE all day and night. I cannot walk outside without hearing loud music and cussing. You can't make a trip to Walmart without hearing someone cursing.
However, if you meet the below criteria, you might like it here:
You have tatoos all over your body
You like to go shirtless
You every other word is a swear word
You like to drink beer and listen to loud Read More

Today I was checking this site's data on my city, Palm Coast, Florida. It's seriously outdated. I'm concerned not only about that but about the validity of data on other cities. Palm Coast is up to 60,000 in population; the number reported was 23,000. The profile of the city has changed dramatically in the past 3 years, so I'm wondering how often profile data is Read More

Good for us; it'll be good to you! - 5/29/2006
If you happen upon Palm Coast, Florida's newest city, you might try to find it on a map. Well, you're lucky if you find it. It was incorporated in 1999 and has grown since then--right off the map! I married a great guy, and he built our first home here three years ago when the pop. was 34,000. Because the lot we built it on was so inexpensive, together we bought four more. Bingo! Right at the onset of the building boom, right in the middle of the fastest growing county in the nation--a boom three years running and only now beginning to slow up. Pal Coast is now as big as Daytona Beach: 60,000.
We're a very diverse population in terms of culture, nationality, race, country of origin, age, etc., but, unlike in the past in America, we haven't divided ourselves into cultural pockets; we live together! Sometimes coming out of church on Sunday I think some people are "speaking in tongues." Many languages are spoken here--Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Vietnamese, Read More
