40 minutes from everything - 7/12/2020
Ruskin is located on the Little Manatee River and Tampa Bay. Great Fishing. Plenty of affordable Golf Courses. Also if you like to ride your bike not much traffic if you know where to go. You are 35 to 40 minutes from Downtown Tampa and St. Pete. The Gulf Beaches are about 35 to 40 minutes away. However not much to do, the "downtown" on Highway 41 is not very attractive. No gyms, not many restaurants. I hear the schools are ok except middle schools which are known to be dangerous. My son went to Lennard HS and did ok, Florida Bright. If you want to walk to shops, etc. not here. Also there is a ton of new housing going up all on 50 X 100 lots and the roads cannot handle the traffic. If you have to drive to work to Tampa or St. Pete forget it. You will be on the roads two to three hours a day. In the summer it is brutally hot but very nice during winter time.
