Living in Shalimar. - 6/15/2014
Love it. Both my wife and I are originally from California bur we have been living in Shalimar for 38 years. Shalimar is minutes away from some of the best beaches in the U.S. Traffic even in rush hour (if you could call it that)seldom a problem. Superb restaurants are abundant and The internationally famous Destin Fl. is only 4 miles across the bay. The weather is generally moderate. Summer days sometimes can be warmer than I prefer but that's what pools, beaches and Air conditioning is for. Also about an hour northwest we have some of the clearest freshwater springs anywhere in the world and with water temperature at 68 degrees Fahrenheit year round, you can take a refreshing swim anytime. Read More
