So you want to know about Acworth, do ya? Well, imagine a tired industrial town with concrete plants, old run-down strip malls, the busiest rail road (so you're constantly caught by the train) which is often stopped on the tracks with no regard for the negative economic impact that causes. Did I mention the hundreds of power lines criss-crossing the sky in seemeingly every direction? Whose idea was that? Have they not heared of underground power lines? Well, that's Acworth! There is two or three good restaurants, Actualy two are great, but this is a small town run by a few good-ol'-boys and they don't like change. If anything does happen, it happens real Read More

They call it Crackworth for a reason - 12/15/2013
What else can I say? It's better than Cherokee County, they're run over with Meth and Heroin. Acworth has a crack and weed problem. Pick your poison. Read More

Small town living close to the big city life - 10/13/2012
Acworth is north of Atlanta. The population is just over 20K and the cost of living is very low compared to almost anywhere in the region. If you love a sunny, warm climate and dislike snow, this is a wonderful place to raise a family. Read More

Where inthe world is Acworth? - 2/1/2011
If you are thinking of moving to Atlanta and are reading comments here....
Acworth is a town in the NW corner of Cobb County. When Cobb County was first staked out for settlement, in 1832, NYC was already over 200 years old!
Everything in Acworth appears to be new....the neighborhoods, the roads, the schools....the people(they come here from all over the world)....
There actually is an old town where the RR line runs....this MainLine connects Chattanooga to Atlanta(Acworth-Kennesaw-Marietta-Smyrna-Atlanta). Downtown Acworth looks kinda foo-foo on one side of the tracks, while the other side still languishes with its old abandonned warehouses and shops.
I'd say the schools are as good as schools are anywhere(the bad school-good school media hype is just snobbery....your child will be safe in acworth, make'em do their homework!)
This is a great place to make your mark on the world, just by living Read More

climate - 7/14/2009
Overall, the climate in Acworth is enjoyable. The mild winter temperatures make up for the heat of the summer. We have short winters that allow for flowers to pop up in February. Not to mention, that we can have pansies planted in the winter. My family moved from Chicago four years ago, so we definitely appreciate the Read More

life in acworth - 8/12/2008
quality of life in acworth is actually not to bad for someone like me who is very laid back and love peace and quite. i like the close proximity to the lakes and your still very close to downtown atlanta. i was skeptical about buying in acworth since i moved from kennesaw(which i loved) but i understand that acworth is expanding so property value should be going up and the area around it is growing as well. as far as night life in acworth that remains to be seen but that is okay if you don't mind driving downtown atlanta or surrounding areas for entertainment. i don't know anything about the schools because i don't have any kids(but i live in cobb county and i don't hear anything bad about the school system). i don't hear any crime happening in my area either. overall this is a good, clean and safe place to live or start a Read More
