Austell is a nice quiet place to raise a family is you are family minded. It is a city that is in a very convenient crossroads. South is Douglasville, North is Kennesaw, East is Marietta/Smyrna. If you get on East-West connector you can get to the Buckhead area in 25 minutes. Lots of shopping and South Cobb highschool is right on Austell, Rd. The quality of life in the Metro Atlanta area has really declined due to the increase in traffic and drive time. The lack of a good transit system has really hurt the Atlanta area. Austell is a nice little city about 20 minutes west of Atlanta. In Austell you are close enough to be able to commute to Atlanta without feeling like you live in Atlanta.
There is plenty of shopping, if you want to head east you can go to the Cumberland Mall, heading south west you can go to Douglasville and the Arbor Place mall, and heading north you can go to the mall in Kennesaw.
Also from Austell you can access Hartsfield jackson intl. airport without having to go through the city.Read More
