Quaint yet very nice variety of shops and restaurants, the county (Fannin) is heavily forested with hills and mountains for recreation, climate of weather is usually good, low cost of living especially if you are a senior citizen, outsiders are just that. Beautiful Vacation or Retirement area - 11/9/2009
Blue Ridge is nestled in the mountains and has a lovely downtown area for those who love to shop. Watercraft and tubing is all here. Fun area with lots of festivals all within an hour ride. Schools are great as it offers 1 teacher to about 16 students! If your tired of City life and high taxes and high cost of living. Well you may just love the fact that your not taxed out of your home and the cost of living is less than the average! I built a beautiful 3 story home on the side of the mountain for under $300k! All new the builder was great and honest!!! People are pleasant and friendly this is a wonderful town for visiting on a nice vacation anytime of year! I love it as our retirement home area.Blue Ridge had me moving after visiting the area. GOOD BYE TO SOUTH Read More
