I LOVE LIVING HERE - 8/13/2023
Lived here in Buford for 10 years. I love Buford! I never plan on leaving. Close enough to Atlanta, but far enough away also. Love the diversity in Gwinnett County! It is the most racially diversified county in the entire state and I love that. Look it up. I live 3 miles from the biggest mall in Georgia. The humidity can be a bit much sometimes during the summers, but it keeps you looking younger than living in dryer climates. Less wrinkles ??????? Just come visit. You'll see how nice it is!

Buford is a great place to live because the school system is great. It's a great place to live. The only thing that if I issue is that you can get looked at if you are a different shade of color and I'm mixed and from california. I mostly see that outside of buford.

Country living with amenities - 1/18/2010
As a former New Yorker (Long Island) it took a while to get used to NOT waiting on a long line when you go shopping or out to dinner or the DMV. Driving around in my neighborhood's rolling hills and many horse farms are a delight. During local trips i'll see lots of deer, cows, emews, goats, even sheep farms! Beautiful homes that run into the millions and some trailer parks. I embrace it all.
Just ten minutes away is the magnificent "Mall of Georgia". Just Beautiful!
Lots of very friendly people, and we always run into many many New Yorkers.
The city of Atlanta has a varied choice of where to go and what to do or see such as, The Aquarium, the Zoo, tour CNN, Stone Mountain, lots of fine dinning, all within an hour or less!(mostly less)from here. Low taxes help too! Yes the summers in Atlanta can be very hot, its a little cooler up here in the foothills of the Great North Georgia mountains,
