What BestPlaces Users Say about Forest Park
Forest Park, Georgia is a small city located just south of Atlanta. With a population of around 20,000, it offers a suburban feel while still being close to the bustling city. The cost of living is lower than the national average, making it an attractive option for those looking for affordable housing. However, like any city, there are pros and cons to living in Forest Park. Here are some user reviews that offer a glimpse into the experiences of residents in this particular place.
According to John H., "Forest Park is a great place to live if you're looking for a peaceful and close-knit community. The neighbors are friendly and there are plenty of local events to attend. My family has been living here for over a decade and we have no complaints." This positive review highlights the sense of community and welcoming atmosphere in Forest Park.
On the other hand, Sarah R. has a different experience to share: "I moved to Forest Park a year ago and it's been a nightmare. The crime rate is high and I don't feel safe walking alone at night. There are also a lot of abandoned buildings and run-down homes in the area." This review sheds light on the safety concerns and blight in certain parts of the city.
Another resident, Mark D., praises the affordable cost of living in Forest Park: "I've been able to save a lot of money by living in Forest Park. The rent is much lower than what I was paying in Atlanta, and there are plenty of job opportunities nearby. I don't regret my decision to move here at all." This positive aspect of the city may be a major draw for those on a budget.
However, not everyone is satisfied with the job market in Forest Park. As Tanya S. puts it, "Finding a decent job in this city is a struggle. I've been looking for months and the options are slim. It's frustrating because I like living here, but I may have to move for better job opportunities." This review highlights the potential challenge for those seeking employment in Forest Park.
In conclusion, the reviews about living in Forest Park, Georgia are a mix of positive and negative experiences. While the sense of community and affordability are praised by some, others have concerns about safety and job opportunities. Ultimately, it may be a suitable place to live for those looking for a quiet and affordable community, but it may not be the best fit for everyone.

There is not much crime in Forest Park - 3/11/2010
I read a review stating there is a lot of crime. I have lived in Forest Park since 1971 and have never been robbed or the victim of any other crime. We are a multi cultural community and live quite peacefully together. I'm sure there is some crime but it must be very low. The police are quick to answer a call and fast to respond to any request I have ever made for them to come check out a situation. We are also within 5 minutes of three different interstate highways which I value to save me time. We are 12 minutes from Atlanta for those who commute to work. We are within 10 minutes of the airport if travel is a must for you. The property taxes have gone up too much to suit me this past year and I am very critical of that expecially since the roads to be in quick need of repair. I do not see where the city is spending the money they are collecting on any road repair, just patching making a bouncy ride. I highly recommend living in Forest Park and that is why I have been here
