Stockton is a small sleepy tight knit community, a place where u can spend the night camping at the river and be checked on by neighbors. Small town usa at its best, surrounded by forest, wildlife is abundant. It is close to all the excitement of the beaches just an hour away, or big city fun in jacksonville is just an hour and a half, so you get all the benefits without the problems of the big city. Neighbors help neighbors, you really feel like family here. We do have some problems, but can take care of them amongst ourselves.
Here the law officers are just as likely to stop by and eat a plate of fish u are cooking out in the yard, as they are dealing with an occasional traffic accident.
Deer hunting, quail, doves, ducks and yes wild hogs abound, a few bear have also been seen. We do have alligators, rarely seen, and a few pesky snakes but I have never heard of anyone being hurt by either.
