Great Place to raise kids and/or retire - 11/18/2009
Tyrone, GA is in Fayette County. Fayette County is known for having the best schools in Georgia. Tyrone is a very quiet place and people tend to be friendly and helpful. Having traveled in the military for over 17yrs, I find Tyrone to be a rest haven. My subdivision is made by one of the most popular builders in Georgia, John Wieland.

Tyrone is not as "busy" as Peachtree City or Fayetteville however you enjoy the peace that Fayette County offers. The city is 7 miles from Interstate 85. Interstate 85 runs directly into the Atlanta/Hatfield Airport and Atlanta city. Atlanta city is approximately at 17 minute drive. Police in Tyrone are very responsive to its citizens.
