Payette Livability - 7/20/2018
Payette is has many features that are normally found in larger areas, including the following: a golf course that has been rated as one of the best in the northwest; a small airport; local museum full of memorabilia; large, new library; public transit; swimming pool. There are three large festivals: Harmon Killebrew Day, Cruise Night and Car Show and the Apple Blossom Festival. Payette was rated 68th of the top 200 towns in America by Outdoor Life (May 28, 2009) due to the wide variety of outdoor activities, including hunting and fishing. Fracking Disaster - 1/15/2017
Me and my wife have recently fallen in love with the mayor's mansion in Payette, which is currently for sale. We met with a real estate agent to sell our current house in Tacoma, WA, so that we could purchase it. Our plans were to restore this beautiful old house and take up residency in this quaint little town. The people seemed friendly, and the town looked very cute. We met with a real estate agent to look at the house, and we started making plans to purchase this house, but then we found out about the current fracking wells that are in time going to pollute the drinking water of the town. I don't believe that the residents of this town know of the disaster that's coming to them, but my wife and I are so glad that we found this out before buying a house there. Read More
