Spirit Lake, Idaho is a beautiful small town located in the Idaho panhandle. It is home to just over 1,000 people and offers a peaceful atmosphere that's perfect for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The stunning scenery of mountains and forests gives Spirit Lake an abundance of outdoor activities, making it ideal for hikers, campers, mountain bikers, boaters, fishermen and nature lovers. With its quaint downtown area full of locally owned restaurants and shops, as well as the nearby ski resorts in Schweitzer Mountain Resort and Silver Mountain Resort, there is something for everyone in Spirit Lake.
People who have been here often rave about how friendly the locals are and how much there is to do. Many people visit for the hiking trails and camping sites in the summertime or the ski resorts in winter. The unique landscape offers opportunities to go fishing at one of the many nearby lakes or take a stroll along some of the trails for stunning views. In addition to outdoor activities, visitors can find lots of local art galleries with handmade pottery and other crafts. Visitors also appreciate being able to find all sorts of necessities from supermarkets or drug stores without having to drive too far. All these make Spirit Lake an unforgettable experience that people can't stop talking about positively.

Spirit Lake has it's own little micro-climate. In the summer, the mountains block some of the rain that the rest of the area seems to get. In the winter, it is significantly colder than Spokane (where we get our TV weather forecast) or CdA. We get a huge amount of snow--much more than the surrounding communities.
