Residents of Manteno also appreciate the small-town atmosphere where everyone knows each other.

Education...Nurses per student ratio? - 8/4/2014
Just thought I would mention that 30% or more of our population is special education which includes those with disabilities. School nurses are caring for this aggregate and should be recognized so that parents know that nurses are available to assist with their child with special needs. FYI-we have 2 RN's that split the student and employee population. The counselors, there are 4 (as well as their yearly interns) split the population. Librarians, there are 3, one in each school.
