increase in crime - 9/9/2009
I live in Morris, Il and the crime in our neighborhood has more than doubled in the last year. My husbands car has been broken into 4 times including the last incident where 5 other cars on our block were all broken into in the sme night. Two days ago someone tried to get into our next door neighbor's back door. They have 2 VERY large dogs and this did not stop whoever it was trying to get in. My husband has spoken to the police and all they said was to lock our doors and windows and not to leave anything in our cars. I do not want to sound like a judgemental person however, we did not have any problems until someone bought the apartments very near our home and turned them into low-income housing. Our neighborhood may look very nice and clean but looks can be very deceiving. This is a small town and it is only a matter of time before it is taken over by crime. I would not recommend anyone to move to this
