I was stationed at Scott AFB for close to 7 years. Clean base, had great co-workers...and enjoyed my job. But...many people in general are rude. It is mostly spouses and dependents who live in the base housing area that have no respect at all. Parents who don't watch their kids, and let their kids run around in other peoples driveways, yards, and flowerbeds like they don't care...and have no respect for neighbors. Also, people will just walk out in front of you (not using a crosswalk) on base. I'd recommend living off base, where you have more freedom.  Read More
